Private versus personal: which one you need.
The terms get used interchangeably; the services are different. A private chef cooks the event. A personal chef cooks the week.
The private chef — the event
One evening, a coursed menu, table service, a clean kitchen after. Priced per guest on the published bands ($95–$400+). This is the dinner party, the proposal, the wedding week.
The personal chef — the week
A standing cook day: menus for the household, a week of dinners packed for the fridge, from $300 a week plus groceries. This is the resident line — the answer to “we never eat well on weekdays.”
