What to ask a venue
- Exclusive caterer lists — some marquee venues lock them
- Kitchen access: full, prep-only, or field-kitchen spec
- COI and load-in requirements
Ask three questions before anything else: Is there an exclusive caterer list, and is there an outside-vendor fee? What kitchen access does the caterer get — full kitchen, prep kitchen, or a lawn? And what are the load-in windows and insurance requirements? The answers decide your catering options more than the view does.
