Five lines that appear on every quote, in the same words, network-wide. Here is what each one is and why it is itemized.
The five lines
Itemization is the point. A 20% service charge you can see beats a 23–25% charge folded into a package price — and Hawaiʻi’s general excise tax applies to the whole transaction, which is why it gets its own line rather than hiding in the food cost.
- 20% service charge — always on its own line, never folded into “per-guest” pricing
- Hawaiʻi GET up to 4.7120% — on its own line, valid through 12/31/2030
- 50% deposit — locks the date, only after you have seen the numbers
- Gratuity — always voluntary, never suggested by us
- Stay Chef groceries — at cost with receipts; signature dinners keep food inside the published band
What we will never do
We will not quote one number and invoice a bigger one, will not add a gratuity line for you, and will not show you the obsolete 4.166% GET figure that still floats around the internet. The written quote is the confirmed total.
