Wedding catering Oahu
Wedding catering Oahu, on this page, is a weekend in a house — not a hotel ballroom buyout and not a drop-off tray. Kahala, Ko Olina, and Kailua are the corridors we staff first. A celebration dinner for the inner circle, a rehearsal the night before, a reception of about ten to seventy-five, and a recovery brunch if the house still wants a kitchen on Sunday. One culinary conversation. Separate lines on one written quote.
You book myCHEF Hawaii, not a swipeable roster of chef names. We assign the brigade to the size of that Gold Coast dining room or that Ko Olina villa kitchen. A dinner for twelve is not a reception for sixty. Servers from $80 an hour, sous-chef from $105, four-to-five-hour minimums. The food band follows the Oʻahu card: receptions from $195 a guest in USD, signature dinners $195–$290. Service 20% and Hawaiʻi GET up to 4.712% sit on their own lines. Fifty percent locks the date.
We do not invent Hawaiʻi wedding reviews or venue exclusivity we do not have. The published line is (808) 468-7748. Proof today is published starting prices, a sample estate menu on the catering page, and the wedding week you send on the quote form. Florals, photography, and officiants stay yours unless we quote them as add-ons. The bar is on the villa bar page — never buried inside a hospitality fee. Open the pricing page if you want the tariff before you write the date.
Weekend stacks in Kahala, Ko Olina, and Kailua
Oʻahu weekends are stacked, not packaged into a mystery bundle. Friday welcome in Kahala can be family-style on the lānai. Saturday rehearsal stays coursed and small. Sunday reception moves the room — buffet if the list is twenty and walking, plated if you want a restaurant arc in a dining room that actually seats it. Monday brunch is optional and cuttable without renegotiating the whole weekend. That is the point of separate lines.
Kahala and the Gold Coast are household-entertaining houses: real dining rooms, residents who host, visitors in estates with a cooktop. Ko Olina is the west-side villa week — deeper legal short-stay inventory, kitchens built to cook, provisioning that does not bounce back to town between events. Kailua and Lanikai are a thirty-day estate market. We do not sell a two-night tourist drop-in into a windward house the law no longer allows. If the stay is a genuine month, the weekend sits inside it.
Waikīkī residences can hold a celebration dinner when the suite is a kitchen, not a minibar. Hotel rooms without a cooktop are declined before a deposit. Freight elevators, loading docks, and building certificates of insurance are arranged with the property — not discovered in a Kahala driveway at four in the afternoon. Tell us the address type on the quote form. Single villa nights are on the in-villa dinner page; the staffed room lives here and on the catering page.
What an Oʻahu reception kitchen can hold
Guest counts we staff: dinners for two to fifteen, receptions about ten to seventy-five. Elopements and dinners for two are a fixed-price product from $675 USD on Oʻahu — not a per-guest stack pretending six people are in the room. Larger rooms are quoted as exceptions, never implied as standard. If the house cannot hold the list, we say so in writing before anyone pays.
Buffet is the volume format: stations stay hot, the room moves, guests serve themselves. Plated is paced courses and more servers for the same headcount. Family-style sits between — shared platters down a long Kahala table, the usual estate night for ten to twenty. Grazing and pūpū cover cocktail hour. We will not upsell plated because it sounds more expensive. The format is a staffing decision. The food band does not change when the service style does.
Wet-weather plans are written for every outdoor Gold Coast lawn and every Ko Olina terrace: indoor backup, covered lānai, or the reschedule posture on the booking terms. North Shore and Turtle Bay are a published surcharge — sixty to ninety-plus minutes from town, dedicated days, no stacking a Honolulu lunch against a sunset reception in the same chef day. Surf-season dates move first. The zone line appears on the quote, not on the invoice after the fact.
How an Oʻahu wedding weekend is quoted
Five fields on the quote form: island, dates, headcount, service, how to reach you. We reply in Hawaii business hours with a menu direction and a crew list. No account. No payment to enquire. WhatsApp is the same conversation. One honest follow-up, not a drip campaign. The written total is food, staffing, 20% service, GET up to 4.712%, and a 50% deposit to lock the weekend. Gratuity is voluntary.
December through March press the Oʻahu calendar. One crew holds one wedding weekend at a time. Ask as soon as you have a date — even if the house is not signed. We would rather hold a penciled Kahala Saturday than invent availability in January. Rentals and tabletop are coordinated before guests arrive when you want them; they are add-ons, not folded into a vague hospitality line. Alcohol is BYO or the packaged cart on the mobile bar page.
A villa dinner without a reception is the in-villa dinner page — signature dinners $195–$290 USD a guest, groceries inside that band. A staffed event that is not a wedding week is on the catering page. Multi-day provisioning for a Ko Olina stay sits on the Stay Chef page, Stay Chef from $1,250 a day, groceries at cost with receipts. Do not expect the homepage to repeat it. Send the date on the quote form.
